CamCast Enterprise Transmitter and Receiver Video System Product OverviewThe XVD CamCast™ System is a complete streaming solution for delivering high-resolution, full-speed video across IP-based networks for enterprise security applications. Powered by the world’s most advanced video compression technology, XVD CamCast provides the highest quality full-D1 resolution video possible for a required bandwidth. And with XVD technology, CamCast delivers this video at 30 frames per second (fps) at the same bandwidth and storage that today’s standard M-JPEG video systems need to support only 2-5 fps! (see Application Overview diagram below): IP Transmission of Camera Data The CamCast Enterprise Transmitter captures and compresses analog video data (NTSC & PAL) from a camera to a XVD data stream (at 100Kbps – 700Kbps) in realtime. At the heart of this solution is the powerful CamCast Enterprise Transmitter, a compact mini-server that connects directly to almost any video camera and IP-based network. This device provides advanced features like remote pan-tilt-zoom (PTZ) control, auto-motion detection and easy-to-use browser-based menus.
XVD CamCast Enterprise System The XVD CamCast Enterprise system is a combination of hardware and software modules that together provide an integrated solution for managing, recording and accessing cameras remotely through a secure web browser on a PC. Cameras can also be selected viewed on a standard TV with a remote control by using a CamCast Receiver.
